Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band
Manchester Academy. August 28th.
Conor Oberst, aka Bright Eyes, is to play the Academy on Thursday, 28th August. As part of a short UK tour, they play the Reading and Leeds Festivals as well. Expect hear stuff from the self titled album "Conor Oberst" which was recorded in Mexico City with Taylor Hollingsworth on guitar and Macey Taylor on bass.
Mogwai Manchester Academy. October 23rd.
A return to Manchester for Glasgow's Mogwai, a band who's sound still refuses to be classified. Over the past 10 years Mogwai have taken the idea of melodic, white noise sound to new and exciting levels. Always a great live act, their return, in an age of indie medocrity is very welcome.
AMC are to play the Academy 3 on Thursday September 4th. They are back in town after a great show in February to promote new album 'The Golden Age'
