Mark & Leon ('Long Live : Rock + Roll' @ The Roadhouse every Friday) have been best mates for nigh on 20 years, when they played together in a long forgotten band called 'The Twisted Wheel'. After deciding that 'making music' was not as fun as making people dance whilst 'playing music' they formed their DJing partnership 15 years ago, with the aid of mentor/DJ Dave Turner. They have played clubs across the North West at venues such as 'Brickhouse', '42nd Street', 'Smile', 'South', 'Tiger Lounge', 'Leeds University', 'Liverpool's L2', 'The Roadhouse', 'Tokyo Project' in Huddersfield, 'Amp Bar', 'The Green Windmill', and along with having their own radio show playing funk / soul / country / psychedelia, they have built up a large and loyal fanbase. CLENCHED FISTS CAN'T SHAKE HANDS!

Bon Iver Manchester Academy. Sept 15th.
Bon Iver aka Justin Vernon, recorded his new album in a remote cabin in Wisconsin. The isolation in which the album was recorded is reflected in its stark, beautiful & introspective sound. Prepare to hear this music than in the surroundings of the Academy 2.
